We are seeking a Senior Metal Additive Process Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and scale-up of metal additive manufacturing processes. This role will focus on hands-on printer operation, process parameter development, DOE, data analysis, troubleshooting, and production qualification.
Operate, maintain, and optimize metal additive manufacturing equipment.
Develop and optimize print parameters to improve quality, productivity, and yield.
Design and execute DOE studies and analyze process data.
Troubleshoot printing, powder handling, and post-processing issues.
Investigate root causes and implement process improvements.
Support equipment/part qualification, process validation, and production scale-up.
5+ years of experience in metal additive manufacturing process development; 7–10 years preferred.
Hands-on experience with metal AM technologies and equipment.
Strong knowledge of metal powders, melt pool dynamics, process parameters, and defect mechanisms.
Experience with DOE, statistical analysis, and process optimization.
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
Experience with machine learning, AI, or predictive modeling for process optimization.
Knowledge of Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM).
Experience with thermal modeling, FEA, or metal AM process simulation.
