Job Summary
A leading Life Science organization is seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead SAP initiatives within complex, cross-functional technology programs. The role will oversee SAP projects from initiation through implementation, go-live, and stabilization, ensuring delivery aligns with business objectives, timelines, budgets, governance standards, and IT priorities.

The ideal candidate will have strong SAP project management experience, including SAP GRC implementation experience, and the ability to coordinate business stakeholders, functional and technical teams, system integrators, vendors, and globally distributed resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP workstreams within large, cross-functional programs and ensure alignment with overall program objectives, timelines, dependencies, and business priorities.
• Manage SAP projects end-to-end, including implementations, enhancements, integrations, upgrades, remediation, and optimization initiatives.
• Develop and maintain project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, testing, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
• Serve as the primary liaison between IT, business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and system integrators.
• Provide concise, proactive, and executive-ready communication on project status, risks, issues, decisions, milestones, and required actions.
• Drive project governance through working-team meetings, steering committees, RAID management, decision tracking, stage-gate reviews, and escalation processes.
• Coordinate requirements, solution design, configuration, development, integrations, data, testing, training, change management, cutover, and post-go-live activities.
• Proactively identify and manage project risks and issues related to resources, dependencies, data readiness, security, controls, testing, and business adoption.
• Lead and coordinate SAP GRC activities, including access governance, role design, controls, testing, remediation, and business readiness.
• Coordinate SAP functional consultants, technical resources, business process owners, system integrators, and globally distributed teams.
• Ensure SAP solutions align with business objectives, internal controls, compliance requirements, and measurable business value.
• Lead cutover, go-live, stabilization, and transition activities to ensure successful implementation and operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field with 8–10 years of project management experience, including significant SAP or ERP project leadership experience.
• Experience managing full lifecycle SAP projects from planning and requirements through design, build, testing, cutover, go-live, and stabilization.
• Successful SAP GRC implementation experience, including access governance, role design, controls, testing, remediation, and business readiness.
• Strong project management capabilities across scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of SAP functional configuration, development, integrations, data, security, controls, testing, training, and change management.
• Experience coordinating SAP functional consultants, technical teams, business process owners, system integrators, and globally distributed teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership.

Preferred

• Experience with SAP security, internal controls, SOX, or regulated-system delivery.
• Familiarity with PMO frameworks, stage-gate governance, SDLC documentation, and enterprise application delivery models.
• Experience managing third-party vendors and system integrators.
• Experience working in global, complex, or highly regulated environments.
• Strong understanding of change management, organizational readiness, and business adoption.
