Facilities Technician 2 – Durham, NC

Schedule: Day Shift (7am–4pm or 8am–5pm) | Onsite: 5 days/week

We are seeking a Facilities Technician 2 with strong hands-on HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience to support facility operations at a regulated manufacturing site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC and mechanical systems, including AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, chillers, boilers, pumps, and exhaust fans.

• Perform preventive maintenance, filter/belt changes, coil cleaning, motor greasing, and sensor replacements.

• Monitor and troubleshoot BAS/Siemens Desigo CC systems and equipment alarms.

• Perform general building maintenance, including drywall repair, painting, lighting, and hardware repairs.

• Conduct safety inspections and assist with hazardous waste handling and spill response.

• Complete work orders, PM documentation, and CMMS records.

• Follow GxP/SOP requirements and support contractors/vendors.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical/HVAC training preferred.

• 3–5 years of hands-on HVAC/facilities maintenance experience.

• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.

• HAZWOPER/hazardous waste training preferred or ability to obtain.

• Experience with BAS systems, preferably Siemens Desigo CC.

• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to read basic electrical/mechanical diagrams.

• Ability to lift up to 50–80 lbs, climb ladders, and work in mechanical/utility areas.

• Must be available for occasional on-call facility emergencies.
