Job Summary The successful candidate will support discovery research programs in Cardiovascular-Renal-Metabolic (CRM) Diseases through hands-on execution of mammalian cell culture, cell-based assays, laboratory automation, functional genomics, and next-generation sequencing (NGS) workflows. The role will involve operating established automated workflows, supporting iPSC-derived kidney organoid processes, performing molecular biology and NGS experiments, maintaining accurate experimental records, and troubleshooting routine laboratory and platform issues.
Responsibilities
Design, execute, and analyze cell-based experiments supporting target validation and discovery research.
Analyze and interpret experimental results, identify technical issues, troubleshoot routine problems, and recommend appropriate follow-up.
Maintain accurate sample, reagent, consumable, experimental metadata, and electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) records.
Follow established SOPs, laboratory safety requirements, data integrity standards, and organizational policies.
Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including cell biology, automation, genomics, and bioinformatics.
Escalate complex technical or platform issues appropriately and communicate experimental findings and recommendations clearly.
Qualifications
Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in cell biology, molecular biology, genomics, or a related scientific discipline.
Strong hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, cell biology, and cell-based assay execution.
Hands-on experience with NGS workflows, including tissue, cell, and/or nuclei dissociation, sequencing library preparation, quality control, and quantification.
Experience with bulk RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, single-nucleus RNA-seq, or related sequencing
