Pay rate: $21/hr. Location: Bakersfield, CA Job type: 6-month contract
Job Summary The Manufacturing Admin provides administrative and operational support to manufacturing activities, including production, receiving, shipping, inventory, quality documentation, and production scheduling. This position supports manufacturing teams and management by conducting research, preparing reports, maintaining accurate records, processing information, and coordinating requests across multiple departments.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support for manufacturing, production, receiving, shipping, and inventory operations.
Create, maintain, and track department employee records and other manufacturing documentation.
Maintain established paper and electronic record-keeping systems and ensure information is accurate and up to date.
Support and maintain materials labeling programs and related documentation.
Assist with company inventory systems and maintain accurate inventory records.
Support production scheduling by maintaining and updating production scheduling reports.
Coordinate with manufacturing, MRP, QA, shipping, receiving, and other departments to meet production and product shipment requirements.
Work closely with MRP and Quality Assurance teams to coordinate the manufacturing and testing of materials and related documentation.
Ensure manufacturing and packaging paperwork is completed accurately, completely, and in accordance with established procedures.
Review process reproducibility and production trends for applicable products and assist with identifying opportunities to improve processes and products.
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and other documentation to support manufacturing operations.
Participate in special projects and provide administrative support to multiple departments as required.
Use sound judgment and make well-grounded decisions when addressing routine operational issues.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support manufacturing and business objectives.
Qualifications
One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or
One to two years of related experience and/or training; or
An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong data entry, record-keeping, organizational, and administrative skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.
Ability to make sound, well-grounded decisions and assessments.
Ability to collaborate effectively with manufacturing, MRP, QA, and other departments.
Experience in a chemical or mechanical manufacturing environment is preferred.
Familiarity with inventory management, production scheduling, quality documentation, MRP systems, or document-control processes is preferred.
